Yes, Yes I am

Author's display

I admit that I am old fashioned. I am proud to be old fashioned. I detest the new age way of thinking, not only for this topic but many many others (see all previous posts on anything I talk about)

I can totally understand Jason's wish to live that "free life" but I think he would have to go back 11 years to tell himself

"Hey Jase, listen, in a few months you're going to meet this sweet little blonde, now... here's the deal J-Man, you have two options. You can either start dating her, and she'll make you the happiest S.O.B alive, becoming the best thing to ever happen to you, making you the envy of many of the people around you, and one day you'll get down on your knee (on a cruise ship no less) and ask her to spend the rest of your life together, ORRRRRRRRR you can NOT date her and one day you'll get to live on your own, sit around in your own filth playing RockBand and eating out of a microwave BUT my friend.... You'll experience TRUE FREEDOM!!!"

There are just some experiences in life that are really not that important if missed out on. I would much rather one day say "God I wish I had met "insert name here" sooner in my life so that we would have more time together", than to say "God I wish I had moved out a lot sooner so that I could jerk off without worrying if someone was walking in!" And seriously Dean, this argument about me not living on my own is really starting to get old. Just because you come here and decide to raid my sisters fridge when your down here, does not mean "I Live with my sister" I have met tonnes of chicks who have had less an issue with me not having a door than you do. I guess you're under that impression because when you come down we all hang out, but I pay rent, I cook for myself, I do my own laundry, I fix my own shit, I walk around naked as the sky is blue, and yes sometimes I do all of the above at the same time and honestly buddy, if anyone here is an expert (as you liked to call it in your last post) on living alone... then buddy that's me, cause I was doing all of that way before you got married, Eddie moved out, and Greg and Rick moved in together (but I guess they don't count because Greg shares a door with his brother and so does Rick... what pussy's eh) So get off that high horse chico cause by my count so far your the least experienced on any subject we've touched on so far.... we'll I'll give you the house buying thing... you know your shit on that.

Now that I'm done with that... I will say Yes Dino is right about MOST of what he said and Ed too. I think you should live the free life before marriage.... IF..... you weren't so worried about saving money to buy a place, and IF you hadn't spent close to half your life with someone and IF your home life wasn't so free. I know my brother has a rough time with my dad busting his balls. But you all can remember the bullshit I had to go through back when I was there. And my sister more so than me. Jason never had to sneak Sheree in or out a window, or lie about where he was going or when he was coming home, Sheree was accepted into the family way earlier than Shelley was and god forbid my sister brought someone home. So what is the benefit of being on your own when you aren't single and about to get married? Seriously, I just want to know how I'm thinking wrong on this. I really don't care what he does, and if its something I do really care about then he'll get a personal email from me and it won't be discussed on here. I just don't see it... the only time I would tell him to move out would be if he was single and he just started the job he's doing now, leading up to his "Career" cause it would be the point he could be independent and start dating properly (entertaining at home) So by all means tell me where I'm wrong on my thought process. Jase tell me what you want to feel, I'm not being smart, I really want to understand, and Ed too what do you miss about living alone (hopefully Liz won't use it against you) and Dino.... Well you have to whack off and worry who's coming in so you probably wish you lived alone just for that one reason :))

I'm old fashioned, I have a very hard time seeing things in this "New Age" way, sometimes I wish I could, but most of the time I just love that I do see things the way I do, it makes for great Blog discussions....

PS: Like Dino said... Watch her Jase... first its the Email complaining... next its complaining that the filtered water isn't at room temperature.... oh wait... you're passed that point... you're soooo screwed!

Old Fashioned

Author's display

After reading Nelson's last post I see where he is coming from now. I don't agree with you Nels but you are just someone that has really old fashioned values and I think it's rare and nice. However, in this day and age, I have to agree with the rest and living on your own will definitely make you more responsible and if anything it will make it less of a shock. Nels, you are also contradicting yourself as Jason said, you have moved out on your own (although living in the basement of your sister's place is debatable) and have experienced what it was like to have alone time (play time) with yourself. I think the only reason Nelson is stalling your departure is because he really will feel an emptiness at your parent's place. I mean who will get into the hot tub with him and rub his back? Who will watch Portuguese porn with him?

Jase, you guys aren't even married and Sheree is already blaming you for email problems and whatnot..next she will be yelling at you for not putting the toilet seat down, not replacing the toiler paper, not washing the dishes, laying on the couch watching TV while she cleans the house etc... ah married life...it's a beautiful thing.

I am kidding though, and you guys are an awesome couple. Sheree seems easy going and it's nice seeing a couple that has lasted over 10 years.... I wish you guys many, many happy years filled with joy and orgasms! Oops did I say that out loud.

Author's display

I don't stand a chance of ever getting caught up in the f'n post count at this rate...lol. Okay, I'm obviously just being stupid, I love it that this place is finally producing bathroom material again :P

And me? Thanks for asking, I've actually had a pretty rough week so far this week. It's totally been one of those apocalyptic kind of weeks, kind of like the weather only worse! Here I sit in my cubicle about an hour into tonight's overtime shift, waiting to do my part in what is sure to be a well orchestrated masterpiece of geekery...lol. Other than that I've been good, Liz and I are going out of town this weekend to meet the rest of her family at there annual get together, wish me luck :)

Jase, I have to side with you on this one, sorry Nels. I moved out on my own and that lasted just 1 short year before I moved in with Liz but I think I learned a lot about myself that year and actually did a lot of growing. I say do it if you can, do the cooking, the cleaning, the dishes, the moping around in your underwear, do it all and enjoy! It probably wont be the best year of your life but it will be an important year and if your experience is anything like mine you'll be better prepared for that next step as a result.

Sheree, I wish I could take the credit for solving Nelson's little puzzle but nope, as with Jase, it was the lady in my life that discovered it. I remember sitting on the can at home and hearing her say "hey, nels put a hidden message in his last post" followed by my reply of "no way, is that what that was!".

So ya, I think I covered all the bases, there's been so much action since my last post that who knows, I may have totally forgot about something. Whatever, I think I hear them calling my name so I gotta go...

Ed.

Thanks for the advice.

Author's display

Just a quick little follow up:

I misspoke when I said my dad didn't agree. He actually does agree as does my mom with our decision to go condo first. It's a good little starter pad that can be affordable. We can make changes if we'd like and sell whenever.

Thanks Dino for the warning on taxes etc.. Ive been taking most of that into account in my calculations of how broke we'd be. :)

So we went to check out the condo last night with our parents. We spent a good hour there checking everything out. We weighed the pros (numerous) and cons (maybe 3) and as of this morning we decided we would probably try and make a low offer to see what they say back. The place is modern, but unfortunately has a small spare bedroom. This may be a problem when we try and resell it later, but really we would only need the spare bedroom for an office or a baby/child room when the time comes. The only thing that really bothers us (mostly me) is that this place has a nice balcony in the back, but to get to it you have to go through the master bedroom :( It's nice for us to have q balcony outside our room but it can be annoying if we want to throw a BBQ. It's not a big deal but its still something that's making me say "Let's go for it 100%". The other side is that most (if not all) of the places we have been looking at didn't have a balcony close to that size. This one is actually about 2x as wide as most other balconys. It has enough room for a BBQ and patio set.

Don't worry Nelson, you can stay at my place when u come down :)

Regarding "sowing my wild oats" that's not what I want to do. I know Sheree is very easy going and will be a joy to live with (most of the time :P ), I feel like I need independence, something you have all had. It's less about freedom and more about responsibility. I want to know what it's like to have to rely solely on myself, for cooking cleaning etc. Look at it this way, I've been with Sheree for 13 years and have been home for 25. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her but i feel like I'm missing out on a crucial step of being a adult. I know it sounds stupid but it's something I've always said and wanted to do. It's not necessary but it would definitely be a bonus.

I completely understand the idea of sharing in this new experience together but the way I look at it, we're going to be sharing plenty of things for the first time together, what does it matter when we do it. Just because I live on my own before I get married doesn't make the experience less important. We're going to be freaking MARRIED. Sheree would definitely only move in once we're married, and we see each other a lot less than most people would think cause our schedules rarely coincide.

Anyways, those are my two cents. I'll talk to you later.

-Jason

Did someone bait the water?

Author's display

So the other day I called Jason to see what was up, and he told me they were going Condo shopping. When I questioned that, I was told that he had already heard from my dad that it was a bad idea. Then when I said that maybe he should listen to my father, I got the patented Nico laugh. The one that says "ya ok, whatever"

Then I read his post and I start to see his points. Sure those points could have been conveyed over the phone, but thats not the way we work. We are a know it all kinda people, and if you catch us at the wrong time you will not get anywhere with us no matter how hard you try.

So even though I see Jason's points on the condo idea, I'm sorry but I don't agree 100% with it. But if that's what they want to do then honestly it makes no deference to me, as long as they're happy then what does the location mean? I would never dare to give out advise on something I am no expert on. That would be as asinine as a man marrying the only woman he ever dated and then giving out dating advice.

So all I can do is remind Jason that sowing your wild oats at the point in life your at is really a moo point. You have been with a girl for 10 years, she is far from the controlling type (at least in front of us) and if you're trying to save money then moving out to be on your own is really not the smartest thing. Seriously, if you were to have a place alone before marriage, where would Sheree stay most nights? She would be right there with you every night, so how is that sowing the wild oats? And really what oats do you have to sow? Are you going on a banging spree? Is giving you carte blanche to see other woman? No, the only freedom you get from moving out is that you get to watch english TV when ever you want. Thats it... nothing else. You have freedom to come and go as you please at home, so really the only problem is the TV.

But now, if you and Sheree get a place, both of you never have lived on your own. You get married, go on your honeymoon, and when you come back, you can honestly pick her up, and carry her over the threshold, into a condo, apartment, or house that neither of you have ever lived in, to experience something neither of you have ever experienced, and to officially start your lives together... I don't know man... to me that's what the previous 10 years was building up too.

This is not me picking on my brother. I have always believed in this. I said it to Mark and Tanya when they moved in together and I hope that I can stick to my guns and have it happen to me. But in this day and age, its just not something that happens. I know Eddie lives with Liz and I'm not judging anyone. That's why I say I HOPE I can stick to my guns cause I know that things change and shit happens and next thing you know I'll be shacked up with some chick I met on the internet 2 weeks before signing a lease together cause we got matching I LUV U tattoo's, but in Jason and Sheree's case I think they are too close to the finish line (Or starting gate) to be making a change where really change isn't needed.

So that being said, Jase, you can do whatever you please. I might not agree with it, but as long as it doesn't mess you up then I really don't care where or how you live. But all this talk has really refreshed my memory on one thing.... one day I'll be going to Montreal to visit and I'll be stuck at the house forced to watch Portuguese TV alone....

Don't be to anxious to get out... Cause one day you might wish you could get back in.

PS: If there is one thing I know I can be an expert on, its being a brother and a friend, I'll take that over mortgage rates and fashion sense any day.... Bitches!

House is the Way to Go

Author's display

Hi Jase,

When it comes to mortgage advice and getting a new house, your bro is not the person to ask. Sorry Nels but you aren't the expert in that department. If you want advice on saving, I am sure Nels could give you some good advice because he must be saving his money, his clothes date back to the 1990's with holes, stains, etc... Ok, I had to stir the s$#%! Waiting for your response Nels.

I think you would be better off getting a condo which fits your needs at a lower price point provided you guys can afford it. One thing to also consider is that heating and electricity costs can get really high in the winter. You are looking at another 100 to 150 a month for that. Take in consideration that you pay municipal taxes but then you have to pay for water on top of it. In Ontario, water taxes apply but I am not sure if it is included in the municipal taxes in Montreal. Something to look into. Then you have house insurance, mortgage insurance which is an extra $100 a month or more.

I am not trying to discourage you from buying a condo but just make sure you consider all these extra expenses. If you are getting an older house, make sure you factor in renos and other problems you might have to fix.

Happy house hunting! It is definitely an exciting part of starting a marriage!

Good luck

Dino

Grown up Talk

Author's display

What up people, looks like the Blog is alive and well...

I thought I would come on here and give a little life update for me and the future missus.

I've been working in my current position for almost a year (it'll be year in a couple of weeks) and so far so good. I've been working really hard for this past year but it's starting to pay off and they've been giving me more responsibility. It also looks like I'll start doing some traveling next week starting with Atlanta which is pretty cool.

In the mean time Sheree and I have been slowly picking at wedding stuff. We have the hall and church and have pretty much settled on our Photographer, we're just doing one final looksy loo to make sure we're getting the right one. They're right at the end of our budget, but I believe they're worth it. the photo/video is the only true thing that lasts (besides the marriage hopefully) from the wedding celebration, so that's the one place I don't want to skimp out. After that it's DJ music time.

Other than that Sheree and I have been house shopping because we want to take advantage of the good rates before they start going up (if they start going up). I also have been saying this for a while, but I ideally I would like to live alone before I get married. Get that bachelor itch in me out of my system. I'm totally fine moving from my parents to living with Sheree but I would really love to have my own place and be live indepenthly first.

We initially started looking at houses, but realized soon after that it was a little ambitious of us to move straight into a house. Sheree's work is still in flux, and we felt that if we took on a big mortgage would really be struggling for the first few years, and that's something we didn't want to start our lives with.

We contemplated renting (briefly) but came to the decision we could get a nice little condo in NDG for now and then in a few years time when we're both a little more settled we would look into getting our dream house. By then we will most likely be ready to leave the city and head out the burbs. But for right now, we're both young and really enjoy living where we leave (although the houses are SUPER expensive around us).

Now I know Big bro for some reason objects to us getting a condo, and I can see where he's coming from. But I have literally spent many sleepless nights mulling over the details, and I believe Sheree and I are making the right decision. We figured why rent an apartment in our area for about 800-1200$ a month, when we can pay our mortgage for a condo that is roughly the same amount of money. This way we're not throwing away our money, but building equity which we can use later on to buy our house, or even rent the condo (if we can) and get some income that way.

We both decided we wanted something a little newer and we set off looking. There weren't many being offered but there was a really nice one in CSL. The problem is the taxes are high and the condo fees are pretty high cause there's a pool etc....

Then we stumbled upon one yesterday....

This is not a high rise condo complex, it's actually a triplex almost, built in 2005, close (but not too close :) ) to my current place. It's got a really nice balcony, garage etc.. and we are confident we could get the price closer to our target we were looking for. The funnies thing is that my neighbor would be my good Friend Derek's brother. That's another reason why we're intrigued by this one cause he has a really nice setup, and we could see the potential. Of course no place is perfect, and the second bedrooms are a little small, but it has a larger "living room/dining room" area that the other condos we'd been looking at. It also has lower condo fees (very low) and lower taxes.

Anyway, we may go take another look at the place tonight with our parents to see what we think. I'm definitely not taking this decision lightly and I keep flip flopping back and forth that my stomach and back are killing.

I just wanted to give you all insight into what's going on our lives over here. It feels good to air out all this stuff cause the more I read it, the more confident I am we're making the right decision.

Who knows, maybe this time next week I'll be a "home" owner 88|

Dino just aroused me!

Author's display

Just got home and was delighted to see some old fashioned comical posts. With that said.... Dino do you even know what the hell you just wrote? It all made sense to me but I consider myself semi fluent in Geekanese. Or did you just copy and paste all that from some tech blog? Either way good on you!

I'm not a fan of these new smart phones. My thoughts were justified a few weeks ago when I dropped my iPhone (that I only use as an iPod)in a glass of beer. Luckily I managed to resurrect it a week later (tip: Put the liquid soaked gadget in a container of uncooked rice, it will soak up the moisture, and blow dry it every day) but had that been my iPhone that I use for an actual phone and iPod, then I would have lost 2 gadgets in one horrific incident. So I as cool as all these things are, I don't see myself getting an all in one anytime soon. But I admit that the more I use the Iphone, I sometimes wish I had the data plan just so I could do web stuff anywhere. Also with the Ipod/iPhone I have realized that A: I don't need a fancy cell phone anymore with camera, and all that shit and B: I barely use my laptop anymore cause I can do so much with that little thing in my hand (The iPhone not my weewee.. that thing is as useful as Rick with a Socket Wrench)

So you guys enjoy all those fancy phones... to me they are pointless, cause none of you ever use them to call ME!!! FAGS! (I have an excuse for not calling... I'm embarrassed to call you guys from my shitty Motorola)

Palm Pre Baby!

Author's display

My next phone will be the Palm Pre hands down. It's Web OS UI and and UX really looks great... Also the Pre has an accelrometer that works with apps like the web browser and photo viewer, which automatically rotates the screen depending on its orientation. An accelrometer! I mean common!

The browser is also a far cry from Blazer that was on the Treo's Garnet OS. The new browser is built on top of Webkit, just like the Android and iPhone browsers, and renders full pages in under 10 seconds. I could understand your fascination with the Android Ed, it's definitely something that every phone should have!

Palm also created the gesture bar, which is the black surface under the screen, because they found it was too hard to control a touchscreen phone with one hand, especially when trying to reach the upper part of the screen. The Gesture Bar streamlines some of the navigation so you can use the phone on the go.

I mean I could go on and on about it but I know you are tuning me out so now you know which phone I will be getting next!

Ciao guys!

P.S. BTW 3 new wireless providers will be on the market next year! Competition!!!

You Know What You Should Be Rubbing Right?

Games, man if its games you want it's games you get! Like the iPhone there are tons of games for this thing but you know, I never really play any of them... I have found a couple of really good and addictive games that I play for about 15 min at a time, usually daily at around 10:30am but other than that, meh. If I had to take a guess I would say that although I have no idea about gaming on the new gen of iPhones, there probably a better "gaming" device but gaming on a phone just ain't my thing I guess. I like the hacking the OS thing, the wifi and GPS apps like one called G-Mon that is an all in one war driving app, let it run while you drive around then export the data and load into google earth! Transdroid that I already talked about on twitter that lets me remote manage my torrents downloading on my machine at home. ACast that auto downloads new episodes of my podcast's on the device so I never even have to plug the thing in and I always have the newest episode of Security Now etc in my pocket. Shazam is awesome (you have that too) and ShopSavvy, another killer app! So to close, there are games a plenty but I never really play em... :)

Ed.

The OS does look nice and so does that specific phone, but what abut the important things... like GAMES!!! Does Android have games or is it all apps? Cause I tell ya, that iPhone has some crazy addictive games!"Air Traffic Control 4.0" "Flight Control" "Peggle" "Quiz Game" "Draw Racer" just to name a few. I have a PSP and I never tough it cause the iPhone it just so easy to pick up and play and the games are so easy to get into. Sure I love all the crazy apps and hacking the OS and shit but at the end of the day I just want something to fun to rub in the palm of my hand.

New Phone, Funny You Should Mention That

Author's display

Na, just messing around, no new phones anytime soon for me, so ya, about 6 months or so...lol. I think I'm hooked on the Android platform though. There have already been a few moments where I remember thinking "yup, there's no going back on this one". I rooted it yesterday and that allowed me to go into a Linux shell and delete the annoying rogers shortcuts, also enabled all the apps (including paid apps) that Rogers blocked from the android market. I celebrated today by buying Greed from Android Market (it's an awesome RSS reader and how I will be reading these posts from now on).

So ya, no new phone for me for a while. The HTC modded Android OS going into the new HTC Hero is tempting but not till they put it into a phone with a physical keyboard. It will probably be released as a hacked Rom for the Rogers Dream soon enough, the Magic has a compatible Rom already so it's just a matter of time. Flashing custom Roms is probably the main reason that I rooted it, need a custom Rom to start storing apps on the SD card, looking forward to that too.

See what you did, made me go all phone geek on this biatch...lol.

Take a look at the new Android OS on the Hero, basically just an HTC skin but wow, well done HTC...

Laterz all,
Ed.

She's Black Too

Author's display

Hello all,

Just wanted to check in. Been up almost 24hrs now so my brain isn't really functioning 100%. I really can't put together too many thoughts so this will be short.
The other day my Jeep decided not to start before I left for work so I was forced to steal my sisters car since she was out of town. Today I spent the WHOLE day calling every car rental place around looking for a Dodge Caliber. No one had one until I found one near the airport. I had to call in one of my guys to come cover the end of my shift and then I raced up to get the car. Luckily my boy Joe was around so he followed me up there and back and then back up to the rental place so that I could lose my sisters car and then grab the Caliber. Some of you know that I have been intrigued by the Caliber for some time now so I figured with the Jeep out of commission, now was a good time to really test drive the Caliber to see if it meets up to my needs. Yes I could have gone for a test drive at the dealership, but really, what can you know from a 15min drive. Now I have this thing for a week so I'll be able to find everything out about it.

So far its a nice car. There are some strikes against it, but nothing that merits not getting one, but again I still have time to see if that changes. As for the Jeep.... she's not done yet. I'll spend some time at the scrap yard and should have her out and about soon enough. She still has some life left in her and I'm not quite ready to part ways over a blown starter. I figure she deserves one last session of me working my hands around her engine compartment. But I will say this... No matter how nice and new her replacement might be, nothing will compare to the feeling of driving that beast.

Also, no one knows my news except for the few that cracked my code, or had someone tell them about the code... but I know my brother and I have faith that he's doing what he does best.... Playing Dumb, so to answer Jason's question.... well you'll just have to wait a bit longer, I seems to keep you guys comeing back for more so why ruin that.

Bon Nuit

What's up everyone?

Just to answer your question Jase, yes I know exactly what the next iPhone will look like. I had dinner with Steve Jobs the other day and he revealed his proprietary secrets to me....

You'll just have to wait and see!!!

Nels, you didn't even tell your brother about the news!!!!

Somebody has to ask....

Author's display

Sup peeps?

Just some questions for u all.

Ed - How long till u get your next cell phone?
Dino - do you know something about the next iPhone that we don't, like a forward facing camera for vid chat?
Mark - any pre wedding jitters?
Rick - have you been cycling lately?
Nelson - so what's the big news (somebody had to ask)
Jason - how hard is it being smart, funny and sexy at the same time?
Sheree - how hard is it having such an amazing guy like Jason?
Readers - how bored and lonely are you that you check this blog?

Good night interwebs. Go rent battlestar galactica, it's worth your time.

Very Excited!!

Author's display

Hi Guys,

I am very excited with many things and I don't know where to start. Nels, I am very excited about your news and I don't want to spoil it but I am probably the last one to know anyways so congrats and I can't wait to hear more news.

Well you guys know that I have been involved in this "phone" thing as many of you like to call it. Call it whatever you want, the response from the Celebrity Apprentice show has been huge, life changing to say the least. Well, that's the just the beginning, we just got news that we will be reselling Satellite TV, Rogers Wireless, Internet and Home Phone and there is talk that we signed an agreement with Apple to have a videophone application available on the iPhone.

Anyways, I know most of you are not turned on by telecom but I just wanted to share my excitement and even though I know you guys could care less, in about 6 to 8 months, I will have a little surprise! No Nels, I did not get involved in a company that regrows hair...although wait a minute...that would be GREAT!!! LOL

Talk to you all soon!!

Ciao

Here we are at 3pm, haven’t had tons of coffee today yet I feel quite awake! This machine is awesome, I highly recommend it...lol.

Later all,
Ed.

We Will Survive

Author's display

Jase, sucks to be you! Traveling to Dominican eh? I love that place! You will have a blast and yes we will survive without you but it's the stories that you will not be able to survive without....

Ed, I think it's hilarious that you woke up with your mask neatly placed on the table. I never experienced that but for some people it does take some getting used to.

Haven't seen BB UK but I have an addiction towards BB in general. I don't know what it is but 13 people in one house, getting on each other, really intrigues me.

Talk to you guys soon!

Was up all! I've been pretty busy lately with work and other projects I've started and haven’t had much time to post. I was talking to Liz a few days ago about the blog and she mentioned like 3 posts that I hadn’t read yet... I guess I've been a really bad Sticky Finger, you might even say that lately my fingers haven’t been sticky at all...lol. Well I'm back baby and I'm gonna start posting up a storm! look out Nels, that post count of yours doesn’t stand a chance now...lol.

I have been using the mask since Friday and I do notice a big difference! Not the oh my god I feel so different kind a thing but just more mentally aware of the stuff happening around me if that makes any sense? To be honest though I have still been staying up pretty late playing with code or watching TV lately and I think I still need to get used to it cause I keep waking up and the mask is taken off my face and neatly placed on my night table...lol. I'm thinking once I start going to bed a little earlier again and get used to sleeping a whole night with it on my face I'm gonna feel even better, looking forward to it.

I watched the first two episodes of BB and so far it's kinda meh. I'll probably watch it but I don’t know, BB US is not the same now that I've watched BB UK... That said, BB UK is awesome this year!!! They are a bit over 40 days in to this season, I have them all if anyone wants them...lol.

K, I'm gonna start by bike ride home, later all!

TITLE

Author's display

Oh now I see how it is, Dino doesn't wanna ruin who won HOH in Big Brother 11, but when it comes to huge plot twists in 24, he's Mr. Chatty Kathy!

On an unrelated note, I'm about to book my trip down south to za Dominican Republic with 2 other couples and 2 dudes and a pizza place, a chimpanzee and hopefully not a hurricane.

Unfortunately that means I can't make the bachelor party, which really sucks but I'm sure you'll survive without me.

Has anyone decided to get addicted to Big Brother Season 11. Tarra and I are already hooked and hoping we could chat about it on here once and a while provided I have someone to talk to about it....

Enjoy! I don't want to spoil who got HOH and the new twist which has never been seen before..

Where is Everyone

Author's display

Nels,

You complain that no one comes here and writes anymore...I come here and write and nobody answers. I guess you are busy planning the bachelor party, or at least you want us to believe that.

I am looking forward to the get together August 22nd and I will make sure I prepare my liver for a weekend filled with drinking....

Mark, I got your invitation today! Yes of course we will be coming but we will send the reply back soon. Ed, gives us some feedback regarding your first night sleep with the mask. Curious to see what you experienced.

Ciao!

Masked Men

Author's display

Good morning all!

It's past midnight and I just wanted to quickly say that another member of the stickyfingers has officially joined the masked men club. Ed, congrats on your Sleep Apnea Machine, your REM sleep will never be the same. As I write this you are probably in a nice deep sleep and tomorrow you will feel so refreshed! Next in line is Nelson. You have to go get that Sleep Apnea checked out so we could all line up with our masks during the Bachelor party and sleep next to each other. We will look like a bunch of aliens with tubes sticking out of everywhere....I could just picture it now.

Ciao

Count me in!

Author's display

Nels,

I will be there the weekend of August 22nd in Toronto but I have something to attend in Kingston on August 22nd during the day. Most of you will be recovering from the night before so I will sneak out and then return August 22nd at night to party it up!

Looking forward to it but right now I have no ideas! It should definitely involve ladies but please do not contact Greg for that... nuff said!

Bachelor Party Date

Author's display

Hey guys,

I have so many posts floating around in my head but I can't seem to get them written down. But I will soon enough, but first I wanted to make a quick post about the Bachelor Party since Dino brought it up.
I was waiting to find out when Mark was off from work cause really if he's not off... well it kinda messes up the plans for HIS party n'est pas?

So I'm happy to say that we finally have a date.... (with some guaranteed controversy of course)

It will be held in Toronto the week end of August 22nd.
So now that we have a date, feel free to email me ideas or requests. Even though the stag's date isn't a surprise we can at least try to have a few surprise events for the night.

Sorry if that date messes any of you up, but he's the one person we NEED to have there.

Talk to you all soon.

Good to Be Back.....

Author's display

I know that most of you are busy running around and filling up your summer so I will make this brief. We arrived last week from Florida and the trip was a blast! Seeing Johnny's face for the first time as we entered Disney was priceless, the first picture he took with a Disney character which was Pluto and all the roller coasters and rides we went on, I will never forget. I mean you definitely need to chop off an arm and a leg to afford the trip but once you do it, it's amazing..

AFter 5 days in Orlando, we decided to rent a place on the beach near Tampa and relax for another week. We missed our flight on the way back at 7:15am so we had to pay $150 and get on the next flight which got us home at 1am. So that sucked but it didn't dampen our trip...

As for the Bachelor party, what the hell is going on? I mean my August weekends are starting to fill up and fast! Now I am not free August 15th and 22nd weekend... Nelson, what r u planning to do and which weekend? I need a major heads up!

Talk to you all soon!
