Ok so I guess as usual I will be the one to summarize the events that unfolded last week for Ed's 30th Bday.

Where to start.... I guess at the beginning would be the proper thing to do... Lets see if I can do it some justice and not upset anyone along the way (Who wants to place bets?)

So Wednesday morning I woke up at 6:30am. I lay in bed looking at the ceiling wondering why the hell I was wide awake after only 3hrs of sleep. I waited till 7am and then called Lauri cause that's when her alarm goes off. I talked to her till she had to get ready and then just stayed in bed wondering if I should try getting more sleep. Just as I was about to pass out again, my phone rings... I look at the caller ID and see its Dino calling. I knew he and Rick had planes to catch in the morning but there was no reason to call me unless something changed. I answer the phone and I hear the 5 words that explained why my body decided to wake itself up at 6:30 in the morning for.... "Nels... We Have A Problem"

From that moment on I felt like I was working at CTU. Calling, texting, keeping people in the loop, trying to get status reports... I mean it was nuts!!! I was so out of it that at one point I left the house and started driving around for no reason what so ever. No need to go into details but it was pretty crazy. A few hours later when it seemed like the storm had passed, I went to meet Dino at a Timmies near my place before he left to Hamilton for work. He shows up and I get out of the car... He sticks out his hand to shake mine and I just go up to him and we start hugging, all while laughing hysterically at the days events. Meanwhile there are a bunch of construction workers looking at us two homo's laughing and hugging in the parking lot... We put on a hell of a show.

So Dino heads out for work and I head home to clean up. An hour or so later I head to Shoppers Drug Mart, to get some gag gifts for Eddie. I get some rubbers, KY and a card. Of course when I head to the counter to pay, there HAS to be the best looking girl working. She quickly scans my stuff and throws it all in a bag without saying a word or making any eye contact what so ever. I head out to the Jeep, start it up and start to drive away... All of a sudden I hear a crazy noise. The fan belt had made noise in the past and I knew I had to change it but this noise what a SHIT TON worse. I pull over in the lot, and pop the hood to check it out. Of course I see one of the belt pulleys wobbling and grinding up against the alternator. So I park it and call Nancy to come pick me up. She drives me home and I look up the fixes on the net. I decide to head back to the jeep to try and fix it and if I couldn't then I would just use Nancy's CAA to tow it down the street to a mechanic I know. Tony gives me a ride over and we mess around with it for a few minutes before giving up and we call a tow truck. After giving us a hard time they finally tell us one will be there in 25mins. At this point Dino calls from my place and my sister sends him to us. So now me Tony and Dino are in the parking lot shooting the shit for well over an hour before some Indian guy in a tow truck shows up. He starts telling me he has no room to maneuver in the lot so I have to literally point out an approach plan. Then he starts to pull the Jeep onto the flatbed but he asks me to sit in the jeep to steer it. Well let me tell you that was Fun!!! He kept pulling it and then letting it go from the back so I was just sitting in the drivers seat with the ground coming at me over and over. FINALLY he get the jeep up and we meet him 2 blocks away at the mechanics. He drops the Jeep in the parking lot and me and Dino had to push it into a parking spot because AGAIN Buddy didn't have room to maneuver the tow truck.

So Dino and I head back to my place and discuss the days events. Mark shows up later and we decide to head down to the Keg Mansion for dinner and then we would head up to the second floor for drinks while we waited for Eddie to show up.

So now we're about to eat dinner and I get a call from Lauri saying she was going to pass by. She shows up and meets Dino and we all shoot the shit. We even get the waiter to take a picture of us all celebrating Ed's birthday to send to him while he is on the road down (We're such nice friends) So during dinner I sat there while everyone took shots at me which is always fun. But the best came when it was time to pay. Dino put it all on his credit card (which I said was a bad idea cause certain people would get out of paying) and after signing the bill he put their copy in the leather case to give back to the waiter. A minute later, the waiter comes back and asks Dino, "Was there supposed to be something in here?" so we all start looking around for the bill we were all sure Dino placed inside. After searching everywhere, Dino signs another, and at this point we figure out what must have happened.... Dino miscalculated the tip, so the Prick Waiter tossed the other bill out and made Dino do it again, but this time with a better tip. I still would have put the same amount but that's just me. The fact the waiter had the balls to do that meant he should have gotten a crap tip... on top of that, the waiter spilt coffee down Dino's leg!!! So anyways we walk Lauri out cause she had to go home and then we went up to the bar to wait for Eddie. We spoke to him and he was close so I gave him directions to where we were. At this point Mark convinced HIS girlfriend to pass by so now she's there having a drink with us. We shoot the shit for a while when I get a call from Eddie. Some how he missed the exit to where we were. I think, no problem he can just take another exit to meet up with us. I ask him where he is and brain wave managed to miss all of down town cause he was now in Mississauga!!! I ask him if he didn't think to call when he passed the CN Tower but he says he didn't see it... Old Age is a Bitch!!!

So now we get Marks girl to drive me and Mark to Mississauga to meet with Eddie at a Timmies, and Dino heads to his Hotel. We meet Ed and Mark takes off with his girl and I sit there and have a coffee with Ed and tell him about all the action he missed through out the day. We sit there laughing, cause as unbelievable as it all is... its just another Sticky Fingers Reunion....
